When we came back from San Diego we found a very sick Selma. Apparently she had gotten some type of infection from a cat fight weeks before but wasn't showing any signs until recently. We had to take her to the cat hospital where they told us she was a few days from death. Her chest cavity had filled with puss and she needed to have a tube put in and the puss sucked out so that her heart could move back to it proper place. She is recovering from the surgery now and doing well despite the pills we have to jam into her throat to get her to take them and the Elizabethan collar. Amazingly she has even figured out how to jump up on the counter with it on!
